BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND PHENOLIC CONTENTS OF EXTRACTS PREPARED FROM ERYNGIUM BILLARDIERI F. DOLAROCHE

In this study, Eryngium billardieri was collected from Patnos district of Ağrı province during the vegetation period. While some plant stored fresh in a -86oC freezer, other part preserved as herbarium material. After species were identified, methanol and pure water extracts prepared aerial parts samples. The phenolic contents determined by using HPLC. Moreover, various vitro antioxidant properties DNA protective relevant tested. comparison test results showed that compounds more than extracts. Although both good activities, their activity lower standart antioxidants. seen to have relatively better effect on pUC18 stabilization, irrespective presence H2O2 environment. Having considered there is limited number studies E.billardieri literature, study will offer important insights into area.
